VCE French Immersion Weekend 2016

Happens once per year only! A whole weekend at Portsea Camp in total immersion with a young and dynamic team of qualified French teachers. Excellent for VCE Units 3&4 students who would like to get more familiar with the final examination and know what to expect on D-day while having fun at the beach! Please note that the weekend is aimed mainly at students studying VCE Units 3&4, but also open to VCE Units 1&2 students willing to challenge themselves.

Saturday will be dedicated to 4 French workshops focusing on the discovery of the different components of the VCE final exam as well as grammar revision, and we will spend Sunday  morning working on a sample paper of the VCE French final exam.

Location: Portsea Camp

Date: 18-20 March 2016

Transport: Transport by coach from the Alliance Française de Melbourne and back. Departure at 4.30 pm on Friday 18 March. Return at the Alliance Française on Sunday 20 March at approximately 4.00 pm. Please  ensure that you arrive at the Alliance in St Kilda by 4.00 pm at the latest on the day of departure.

Attendance: Please note that there is a limited number of available spots, so be sure to  book early.

Cost: $395 / $375 for AFM members and students. All inclusive (food, accommodation, transport, language workshops and activities). Payments must be received in full by 04 March 2016, 5pm.

Conditions: There will be   no refund when cancelling after 04 March 2016, 5pm. Application for a refund must be made in writing to Marion Nouvel: headteacher1@afmelbourne.com.au. If a student is entitled to a refund,  a 20% processing fee may apply.

Subsidies: The Languages Unit of the Department of Education and Training will provide a subsidy of $300 for 20 participating students from government schools. Note: if applying for the DET subsidy, please only fill in the subsidy application form; do not fill in the regular registration form available at the top of the page.
