Tapenade is a French spread from Provence consisting of puréed or finely
chopped olives, capers and anchovies. Its name comes from the provencal word for capers tapenas. It is a popular food, especially
in the south of France where it is generally eaten as a appetiser spread on bread, with fish, stired though pasta, as a marinade for
meat, in salads, and sometimes used to stuff poultry for a main course.
