The Alliance Française de Melbourne (AFM) is an independent, not-for-profit language and cultural organisation promoting Franco-Australian exchange since 1890. With a mission to spread the French language and culture well beyond the borders of France, it is one of the 819 Alliances Françaises existing in 137 countries all over the world and one of the 30 Alliances Francaises in Australia. Situated in South Yarra and the CBD, the centre offers online and onsite French courses for all ages, interests and all levels. It holds a variety of cultural and social events throughout the year.
